Research Department2

Research Lab 01

The Research Department is where the field knowledge of Deployments are processed into advancements in the 4 fields of Warframe development.

ArmamentsEdit

The Armaments division produces upgrades for weaponry.  These upgrades translate into damage boosts for current weapons, weapon add-ons, and new weapon development.

    2. APDS: +4 AP
    3. Superheated Blade: +1d4 damage
    4. Hypervibra Blade: +4 AP

ArmorEdit

The Armor division produces stronger and lighter upgrades to all Warframes.  These upgrade translate into larger bonuses to the armor of the frames, and can bring element protection in higher levels.

FramesEdit

The Frames division produces a stronger and more elastic skeleton of the Warframe, and increases the onboard CPUs processing power.  These upgrades translate into more load points for all frames, and at higher levels can add more slots for components.

UtilityEdit

The Utility division produces the components that plug into the slots of the Warframe.  Research into Utility provides access to more components.

Research PointsEdit

Research points are a way to represent the value of the retrieved material from missions.  There are 3 Categories: Observations, Specimens, and Completions

ObservationEdit

  • Observing a new behavior generates between 2-5 pts
  • Observing a new specimen generates 2 pts
  • Observing new hive features generates between 2-5 pt

SpecimenEdit

  • Obtaining a new dead specimen generates between 5-15 pts
  • Obtaining an already obtained dead specimen generates 1/5 it's new value
  • Obtaining a new live specimen generates between 5-?? pts
  • Obtaining an already obtained live specimen generates 1/2 it's new value the second time, 1/5 the third and on
  • Obtaining a sample of unknown material generates 2 pts

CompletionsEdit

  • Completing a recon mission generates 2 pts
  • Completing an assault mission generates 3 pts
  • Completing an escort mission generates 3 pts
  • Completing a delivery/pickup mission generates 2 pts
  • Completing an investigation mission generates 4 pts
